Community Rules

Core community expectations for StoneHavenSMP — respect, theft, griefing, consent PvP, and fair play.

These rules apply to StoneHavenSMP and related StoneHaven community spaces where server play is discussed.

Be respectful

  • Treat players, staff, and guests with basic courtesy.
  • No harassment, hate speech, or targeted hostility.
  • Disagreements happen — keep them constructive and take heated topics to staff or Discord DMs when needed.

No stealing

Do not take items from other players’ storage, shops (beyond intended purchases), item frames, armor stands, or farms without clear permission.

No base looting

Entering someone’s base or storage area to take resources, even if containers are unlocked, is not allowed. Unlocked chests are not an invitation.

No griefing

Do not break, burn, flood, lava-cast, or otherwise damage another player’s builds, terrain shaping, farms, or decorative work. Accidents should be repaired immediately and reported if you cannot fix them fully.

Combat between players is allowed only when everyone involved clearly agrees. Ambush PvP, trap kills without consent, and “jokes” that destroy gear are not welcome.

Respect builds and surrounding space

Even without a land-claiming system, players are expected to leave room around others’ projects, avoid crowding unfinished bases, and ask before connecting infrastructure. See Building Etiquette and Gameplay Policies.

No cheats or exploits

  • No X-ray, illegal flying, duping, or unfair automation that abuses bugs.
  • Report exploits to staff instead of using them.
  • Client modifications must stay within community expectations (see gameplay policies).

Communicate

If you will be away for a long time and have active shops, farms, or shared projects, a short Discord note helps neighbors and staff. There is no daily login requirement — communication is about clarity, not pressure.

Ask for help

When ownership, boundaries, or shop rules are unclear, contact staff rather than guessing. A quick question prevents most conflicts.
