1. About Milo and these Terms
The StoneHaven Discord Bot, also known as Milo, connects designated Discord channels with configured Minecraft Java servers. Milo is operated by Gage Olson, known as SwornHero, for the StoneHaven community (“we,” “us,” or “our”).
These Terms govern your use of the Milo service that we operate. By installing Milo, running its commands, or knowingly using its designated chat bridge after being given access to these Terms, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use those features. Contact us if you have questions about information processed through server notifications or logs.
These Terms do not automatically apply to independently operated copies of the software. Their operators are responsible for their services and policies.
2. Eligibility and third-party rules
You must be at least 13 years old and meet any higher minimum age required by Discord or applicable law. If you cannot legally agree to these Terms on your own, your parent or legal guardian must agree on your behalf.
You must comply with applicable laws, the rules of the Discord and Minecraft communities you use, Discord’s Terms of Service, and Discord’s Community Guidelines. Applicable Minecraft, Microsoft, and hosting-provider terms also continue to apply.
These Terms are between you and us. Discord is not a party to them, and they do not replace or modify Discord’s terms or policies.
3. What Milo does
Depending on its configuration and the connected server, Milo may provide:
- A live server-status message, including player counts, player names, uptime, and available performance information.
- Two-way chat between designated Discord channels and Minecraft servers.
- Player join, leave, death, and advancement notifications.
- Staff alerts and a mirror of Minecraft console output.
- Role-restricted commands for server administration, including RCON commands, kicking or banning players, and managing whitelists.
Features depend on permissions, configuration, server software, and third-party availability. Compatibility with every Java server configuration, mod, or plugin is not guaranteed.
4. Chat bridging and visibility
Messages sent through the designated bridge may be displayed to people on the connected platform who cannot see the original channel or server. Your Discord display name and account handle may accompany messages sent to Minecraft. Your Minecraft name, chat, and server events may appear in Discord.
Use the designated bridge only for content you intend to share with that connected audience. Do not submit passwords, tokens, private personal information, or confidential material. You retain ownership of your content; you authorize us to process, format, transmit, and display it only as needed to provide the features you use and as described in the Privacy Policy.
Editing or deleting an original message does not automatically edit or delete its relayed copy. The Privacy Policy explains how to request removal of information under our control.
5. Acceptable use
You must not use Milo to:
- Harass, threaten, impersonate, exploit, or unlawfully discriminate against others.
- Distribute malware, scams, unlawful content, spam, or another person’s private information without authorization.
- Access or control a server without permission, bypass role restrictions, steal credentials, or interfere with the bot or connected services.
- Abuse administrative commands, evade moderation, or deliberately damage server data, worlds, or player experiences.
- Collect, scrape, or repurpose personal information from Milo’s output in violation of applicable law or platform policies.
Report suspected vulnerabilities privately through the contact in Section 12. Do not publicly disclose credentials or other users’ information.
6. Administrator responsibilities
If you install or configure Milo, you must have authority to connect the relevant Discord and Minecraft servers. You are responsible for assigning appropriate roles, restricting access to console and staff channels, protecting credentials, and maintaining suitable server backups.
Before enabling a bridge or log mirror, clearly identify the connected channels and audiences, provide access to these Terms and the Privacy Policy, and obtain any permissions required for the sharing involved. Installing Milo does not by itself authorize every disclosure of a member’s information.
RCON commands can make significant changes to a server. Role checks and command restrictions do not make every permitted command safe. Grant administrative access only to trusted people and review commands before submitting them.
7. Availability and changes to the service
We may update, limit, suspend, or discontinue features for maintenance, security, compatibility, operational, or policy reasons. We do not guarantee uninterrupted service, accurate status information at all times, or successful delivery of every message or command. We will provide notice of significant planned changes where reasonably practicable.
8. Suspension and ending use
We may restrict access when reasonably necessary to address misuse, violations of these Terms, security risks, or legal or platform requirements. Server administrators may also restrict access under their community rules. You may contact us to ask for review of a restriction.
You may stop using Milo at any time. Authorized administrators may remove it or disable integrations. Removal stops the affected integration but does not automatically erase existing Discord posts, server logs, or backups. Retention and deletion are addressed in the Privacy Policy.
9. Ownership and third-party services
Milo’s name, branding, and software remain the property of their respective rights holders. These Terms do not grant a license to redistribute the software; any separately supplied software license governs those rights.
Milo is an independent community project and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Discord, Mojang Studios, or Microsoft. Their names and trademarks belong to their respective owners.
10. Disclaimers and limits of liability
To the extent permitted by applicable law, Milo is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not guarantee that Milo will be error-free, continuously available, or suitable as your sole administration, monitoring, or backup tool.
To the extent permitted by applicable law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential losses arising from use of or inability to use Milo, including lost profits or lost data. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability for fraud, intentional misconduct, gross negligence, or any liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, or limits your mandatory consumer rights.
11. Updates to these Terms
We may revise these Terms as Milo changes. We will update the date above and provide reasonable notice of material changes through this website or the relevant community announcements before they take effect, except where an urgent security or legal need requires an earlier change. Where required, we will seek renewed agreement. Changes do not apply retroactively.
