Stonehaven began as little more than a quiet valley—untouched, unnamed, and waiting. Surrounded by rolling hills, dense forests, and distant mountains, it offered nothing but potential. Those who first arrived saw no grand kingdoms or ancient ruins, only open land and the promise of something yet to be built.
Over time, paths were carved, structures rose, and the valley slowly took on a name—Stonehaven. Not because of what it was, but because of what it became: a place shaped by those who chose to stay. StoneHavenSMP does not use a land-claiming system. Instead, we combine community etiquette with logging, rollback, and permission tools so staff can protect builds and keep the world fair as the community grows. Read Building Etiquette in the wiki for neighbor expectations.

A Note to Our Players
I started playing Minecraft around 2012, not long after it was first released. Back then, it was simple—just loading into a new world, learning as I went, and building whatever came to mind. I spent hours exploring, creating, and figuring things out one block at a time.
Over the years, I kept coming back to Minecraft. Not because it changed—but because of how it made me feel. There's something special about a game that gives you complete freedom to create your own path, your own world, and your own story.
But as time went on, I realized something important: Minecraft was never really about the blocks.
It's about the people.
The moments you share, the builds you create together, the conversations that happen while you're just playing the game. Those are the things that stick with you.
That's what inspired me to create StoneHaven SMP.
I wanted a place that captured that feeling—a relaxed, welcoming world where players can take their time, be themselves, and feel like they're part of something real. A chill, growing community where every player matters and every story adds to the world we're building together.
To those of you who are already part of StoneHaven—thank you. You've helped turn this into more than just a server, and I'm truly grateful for the time you choose to spend here.
