Updating the Modpack

When StoneHavenSMP releases a pack update, update your Modrinth instance instead of rebuilding from scratch. That keeps personal settings intact as much as possible. Before you update

Recommended update flow

1. Open the Modrinth App

   Select your existing StoneHavenSMP instance.

2. Apply the published update

   Use Modrinth’s update / sync flow for the shared instance. Prefer the official update over deleting and recreating the instance.

3. Confirm optional components

   If you use optional features such as Simple Voice Chat or Iris, confirm they still match the updated pack guidance.

4. Launch and verify

   Launch the instance once, confirm menus load, then connect to play.stonehavensmp.com.

What usually survives an update

• Keybinds
• Options / video settings
• Many resource-pack choices
• JourneyMap waypoints (when stored in the instance)

What may need re-checking

• Manually installed mods that were never part of the pack
• Shader packs after Iris updates
• Memory allocation if you changed launcher defaults elsewhere

If the update breaks launching

1. Re-read the Discord announcement for known issues.
2. Follow Troubleshooting.
3. Collect latest.log using Submitting Logs.
4. Submit a Ticket(opens in a new tab) in Discord with your logs and screenshots, including what you were doing and which launcher/instance you used.
