Shops and Economy
Player shops, Market District participation, and fair trading on StoneHavenSMP.
StoneHavenSMP uses a player-driven economy. Players create shops, set prices, and trade freely.
Getting started with a shop
- Visit the Market District for inspiration and foot traffic — you spawn there when you join.
- Pick an open spot that is not already taken and is not reserved for a planned staff or community build.
- Build with respect for the district’s developing layout and walkability, while still keeping your shop creative.
- Choose a clear shop theme (building blocks, food, redstone, gear, etc.).
- Label prices and stock, and restock at a pace you can maintain.
Fair trading norms
- Do not scam players with misleading item names or hidden conditions.
- Honor posted prices.
- Do not steal from shop containers or break shop mechanisms.
Outside the Market District
Roadside shops and base storefronts are welcome when they respect building etiquette and do not obstruct shared infrastructure.
Staff and custom shop tools
Some shop setups may use datapack or admin-assisted tools (for example custom villager trades). Ask staff which methods are currently supported before relying on an unverified tutorial.
